Drawbridge

The closest alternative to the South Shore if you don't want to take the narrow Jacque-Cartier Bridge. However there are times when the drawbridge to allow ships through can stay up from anywhere between 20-40 minutes. And because the gates are manually opened and closed by the operator, very little priority is given to cyclists time. This can often lead to very long detours. Better public information about this drawbridge would be helpful to allow cyclists to better plan their routes.
